Kurt Osiander and Ben Minkin-First Round Victories at Season's Beatings!! 12/8/07

Another exciting night at Kezar Stadium -where the Gladiator Challenge landed for the third time this year. Kurt Osiander finished his third consecutive fight in the first round and moves on now with a 3-0 record. Ben Minkin, in his pro debut also stopped his opponent in the first round.

Ben fought Jeremy Tavares from Shamrock's Martial Arts in San Jose. The fight began with Tavares throwing a one-two punch combination followed by an attempt at a double leg takedown. Ben reversed the takedown and quickly took his back. He failed to finish it there as Tavares escaped and reversed position. Tavares was able to land a hard combination but then Ben reversed position again and finished the fight with a rear naked choke.

Kurt Osiander fought against Sorillo from FSA. As soon as the bell rang, Sorillo shot in and attempted to take Kurt down. Kurt sprawled and both fighters clinched against the cage. Kurt landed some great knees and short elbows as he worked his inside game. Sorillo was able to take Kurt down but Kurt quickly defended and got back up. Again, Sorillo shot in with a double leg take down and got Kurt down. Kurt reversed position and mounted Sorillo where he pounded him out for the win.
