Malia and Gaby Fight on War of Contenders-Muay Thai!!

Congratulations to Malia Spanyol and Gaby, who both competed in their first amateur bouts. They both fought well-- showing great skills and heart in their matches.

Gaby was the first fight of the night and quite possibly, one of the most exciting ones. Gaby, who has only been training for a few months, took on Cynthia from FSA. This fight was back and forth with both girls showing off great boxing skills. Gaby also threw some powerful kicks but was eventually out pointed by Cynthia's great knees. Gaby lost a close decision but won the respect of everyone who watched this brand new student fight!!

Malia fought against a girl out of Janjira Muay Thai in Dallas. This fight was also very close. In the first two rounds, Malia came out strong with an array of punches and knees. Her opponent fought back with a lot of powerful punches. In the last round, Malia's opponent caught her leg and delivered a hard shot, but it was not enough to win. Malia received the unanimous decision and took home the fight.

Great job to both these girls and we look forward to great things in the future!
